Job summary

DC solutions services ltd is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor in Hoddesdon to lead on-site project works and maintenance programmes. You will oversee dynamic risk assessments, supervise mechanical installations, and ensure timely completion with a strong safety focus.

The role requires a practical engineering background, CSCS or equivalent, and ideally IPAF. You will work in a supportive team, manage resources, and liaise with customers and project managers to resolve site issues.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
• Completed a modern apprenticeship or equivalent in engineering.
• Experience in an engineering environment preferred.
• CSCS or equivalent required.
• IPAF and PASMA desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site dynamic risk assessments and identify health and safety hazards.
• Mechanical fault finding and problem solving.
• Mechanical site installations.
• Plan day works and apply appropriate skill sets to tasks.
• Provide technical assistance to ground operatives to ensure timely job completion.
• Liaise with customers and Project Managers to address access/planning issues.
• Carry out site inspections and complete site diaries.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and report near misses or incidents.
• Attend client meetings and carry out site surveys.
• Maintain stock of consumables and restock as needed.
