Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

£40,000 - £43,000 Basic + Overtime (5K - 10K) + Pension + Staff Discounts + Benefits Package

Your Role as Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance, both hands-on and team leadership
• Mechanical fault finding and maintenance (conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics)
• Site based in Sittingbourne - ensuring smooth site operations
• Work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including days and nights (12-hour shifts)

Requirements for the Lead Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Experience in a hands-on mechanical maintenance role, with previous leadership experience
• Manufacturing background or similar industry experience
• Ability to respond quickly to problems, minimize downtime, and communicate effectively
• Mechanical skills including MIG welding, with an understanding of electrical systems, hydraulics, and PLCs
