Job summary

Bilfinger UK seeks an experienced Mechanical Installation Superintendent to lead delivery of mechanical plant installation on a major new-build project. You will coordinate with piping, subcontractors and design teams to ensure seamless execution on site at Carrington.

The role requires strong leadership, proven large-project delivery and a solid QA/QC background, including ITPs and handover processes. On-site work is required, with emphasis on safety and timely commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience leading mechanical installation on large-scale projects.
• Strong subcontractor management and coordination with piping, structural and EC&I
• Proven QA/QC and completions background with ITPs, walk-downs and handover documentation

Responsibilities

• Oversee all mechanical installation activities — boilers, vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, fans, conveyors and major plant items.
• Coordinate sequencing and tie-ins with the piping scope to ensure full integration.
• Manage and coordinate mechanical subcontractor companies, monitoring resources, productivity and quality.
• Lead alignment, levelling and setting-to-work of plant items per vendor requirements.
• Drive QA/QC and completions, ITP sign-off and handover packs for pressurised systems.
• Liaise with client engineering, vendors, design teams and HSE staff to resolve issues.
• Maintain weekly progress reports, KPI tracking and labour/budget reviews for leadership.
