Lead Mechanical Engineer - TechBio

Newton Colmore is partnered with a TechBio company in Cambridge, and we are hiring for a lead mechanical engineer to join the team.

Role Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will utilize your mechanical design engineering knowledge, problem-solving skills, and 3D modelling expertise to develop innovative solutions for real-world engineering and scientific challenges. The technology you will work on includes optical, fluidic, and thermal mechanical systems, aiming to revolutionize innovation in the biotechnology sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify product requirements and define technical solutions.
  2. Create concepts and design systems.
  3. Transfer designs to manufacturing and conduct technical analyses to ensure safety, reliability, and scalability.
Candidate Requirements

Experience in designing complex mechanical systems within a highly regulated sector is essential, along with an impressive academic record. Proficiency in SolidWorks and Creo is preferred, as well as experience in transferring designs to manufacturing.
