Opportunity

We are looking to recruit a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a 12-month contract, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role

To lead a group of engineers on a project. Plan, budget, organise, and control an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering project. Responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and man-hour budget.

Core Responsibilities / Skills / Experience
  • The required competency and skills would typically have been built up working for a consultant engineering company, or end user company.
  • Ideal candidates will have demonstrable, recent and successful experience of leading mechanical teams for large scale onshore projects with a project portfolio ranging from FEED to Detailed Design.
  • Specialist and detailed knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types, to include static, machinery and packaged equipment,
  • Working knowledge of major industry standards for oil and gas equipment.
  • At this level, provide essential technical leadership to our clients and project teams, requiring the management of deadlines, schedules and resources.
  • Job success will depend on interpersonal skills and the effective interaction with others.
  • Be highly competent in written and spoken communication and using standard MS office software.
  • Experience working as a lead on an Aramco FEED.
  • Experience leading project delivery across multiple work centers.
