Job Description:

Lead Mechanical Engineer - Chilmark (3 days) - £70,000

Join a company renowned for high collaboration between designers and manufacturing, working on UAV platforms. This role involves designing and building UAVs with rapid prototyping in a dynamic environment where testing and iteration are frequent.

The position is a leadership role, involving 60% hands-on design work and 40% team leadership of 2-3 engineers. You will focus on air vehicle design with a mechanical engineering emphasis, collaborating across various specialisms such as propulsion, airflow, and integration.

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

• SolidWorks
• Leading engineering teams
• Electro-mechanical systems, UAVs, or aerospace

Experience with 3D printing, CNC milling, structural design, and systems engineering is highly desirable but not essential.

This role requires SC clearance as it involves working on next-generation military aircraft, with a schedule of 3 days a week in Salisbury. Immediate applications are encouraged.
