Job summary

CBSbutler is seeking a Mechanical Design Authority to join the Development team in Kidderminster. The role involves technical ownership of complex mechanical systems from design through support, with hybrid working available.

The successful candidate will lead design reviews, drive qualification activities and interact with customers, suppliers and project stakeholders across the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead technical design activities on complex engineered products.
• Experience solving multidisciplinary engineering challenges in safety-critical systems.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical design activities on complex engineered products
• Managing product evolution and ensuring customer compliance
• Driving design reviews, validation and qualification activities
• Working with stress, thermal, materials, manufacturing and testing disciplines
• Acting as a key technical interface with customers, suppliers and project stakeholders
• Supporting trials, investigations and product performance assessments
