Job summary

Enisca Browne, part of Browne Group, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own mechanical solutions for water and wastewater projects. You will guide the full design process from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety and client requirements while promoting efficiency and sustainability.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead multidisciplinary collaboration, and provide expert support during procurement, installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of mechanical design engineering experience, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Experience delivering mechanical designs for treatment projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment used in water treatment (pumps, piping, valves, blowers, filtration).
• Knowledge of mechanical design standards, HSE requirements and environmental regulations.
• Experience supporting commissioning, troubleshooting and optimisation of mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex mechanical design packages from concept to delivery.
• Mentor engineers and guide junior team members.
• Support procurement, installation and commissioning activities.
• Oversee technical reviews and risk assessments across projects.
