Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to provide authoritative technical leadership across UK water and wastewater projects. You will own complex mechanical designs, drive governance, and mentor multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable assets.

Based in the Northern Region with flexible working, you will collaborate with clients, suppliers and project managers to optimise performance, safety and cost efficiency while supporting major bids and continued

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a track record delivering mechanical designs in UK water and wastewater projects.
Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and delivering safe, buildable solutions.

Responsibilities

Lead delivery of complex mechanical designs within water/wastewater projects.
Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Develop innovative, practical and risk-balanced engineering solutions.
Ensure designs are safe, sustainable, compliant and cost-effective.
Produce and review mechanical design calculations, specs, reports, drawings and documentation.
Support major project bids and delivery strategies.
Mentor engineers and promote governance and quality assurance.
