Job summary

Aquaterra Energy Limited is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design activities for offshore equipment, driving concepts through to manufacture and testing. You will deliver safe, reliable, cost-effective solutions for subsea and offshore projects.

The role requires leading teams, ensuring technical quality, supporting FATs and system integration, and maintaining engineering traceability while working from Norwich or Aberdeen on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Significant experience in mechanical design from concept through to testing.
• Strong understanding of engineering mechanics, strength of materials and pressure design.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and engineering calculations.
• Ability to lead technical activities and provide guidance to others.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptual and detailed mechanical design of equipment and assemblies.
• Develop 3D CAD models, layouts, drawings and BOMs.
• Perform design calculations for pressure, load and fatigue.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and client specs.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, procurement and QA teams.
• Provide technical leadership and review documentation.
