Job summary

Turner Property Recruitment are assisting a client in Cambridge to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical building services design across HVAC, heating, ventilation and plumbing.

You will direct project delivery from concept through to completion, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients, architects and fellow engineers in a hybrid working environment. Experience with UK building regulations and CIBSE guidance is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Chartered or working towards CEng.
• Strong experience in mechanical design within consultancy or similar environment.
• In-depth knowledge of UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical building services design including HVAC, heating, ventilation and plumbing systems.
• Manage projects to ensure delivery on time, within budget and to client expectations.
• Collaborate with clients, architects and engineering teams to develop tailored design solutions.
• Review and approve calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
