Job Description:

Sr. Lead Mechanical Engineer

Location: Dundee (hybrid)

This challenging position involves working as part of a small team in Dundee and with other facilities and suppliers in the support, design, evaluation and test of ATMs (Auto-Teller Machines for the Banking Industry) and the devices used in ATMs.

A key requirement is to have several years of mechanical design experience with a keen interest in the design of product packaging & device integration.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical part design for sheet metal and plastic injection molded parts.
• Design new ATM features.
• Support existing ATMs and devices from a mechanical perspective.
• Evaluate different technologies and provide recommendations with backup analysis.
• Lead a small team of Mechanical Engineers.
• Work with tooling suppliers and part manufacturers.
• Supplier engagement and change management.
• Collaborate with engineers from different disciplines to enable system-wide integration.
• Lead design validation via design reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, testing, and problem correction CLCA.
• Release work products using the approved system with all relevant documentation required to implement design changes.

Basic Qualifications and Experience:

• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering subject.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and technologies.
• Experience in a mechanical product development role.
• Technology expertise in the areas of design of parts for injection moulding.
