Alpine Racing Limited is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Suspension Design group at Enstone. You will lead a team, own detailed designs, and drive performance delivery for the car year-on-year with a hands-on engineering approach.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with senior leaders, and use CATIA V5/3DX (NX training available) to deliver on time and within budget in a high-pressure motorsport environment.

Formación

• Engineering degree or equivalent with strong manufacturing knowledge and materials technology.
• Proven CAD experience, ideally Catia V5/3DX; NX experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated, hands-on design approach, capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Experience in a senior or lead role within motorsport or high-level engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a group of engineers to deliver on schedule and budget while managing risks.
• Define technical requirements with the Head of Section and other leaders.
• Own detailed design specifications and project plans.
• Carry out conceptual work, define parameters from input, simulations and 3D modeling.
• Approve reports as part of the design process and escalate conflicts as needed.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers to grow future F1 experts.

You will also support your team to grow and develop, ensuring that their competencies and capabilities align with business goals and expectations.Your challenge:Work with the Head of Section and other Heads of Department to determine technical requirements.Take ownership of Detailed Design Specifications and Project plans.Carry-out conceptual work, defining the key project parameters based on external input, your own simulation outcomes and 3D modelling.Lead a group of engineers to deliver on schedule, on budget, and within constraints, escalating technical or resource conflicts that threaten agreed targets.Approve the work of reports as a fundamental part of the design process.Who we want:We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has previous experience within a similar senior role, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport. You should be educated to degree level or equivalent within Engineering and have a good base knowledge of manufacturing techniques and latest materials technology. It would be ideal if you had previous CAD experience with Catia V5/3DX, but we will support with training if NX or similar is your expertise.We need someone who is self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision, and has a hands-on approach to deliver high-quality designs to set deadlines. Great collaborative skills and attention to detail are essential.This role is pivotal within our Mechanical Design leadership.
