A leading provider of nuclear technology in Rugby seeks an experienced Materials Engineer to support nuclear business projects. The role involves material selection, ensuring compliance with standards, and working collaboratively with teams. Successful candidates should hold a BEng or MEng in Materials Engineering and have a background in metallurgy, particularly high alloy steels. Applicants must be UK Nationals or capable of obtaining SC Level clearance.

As a Materials Engineer you are responsible for support the maintenance and development of specifications for material and material processing within the context of any applied codes and standards, e.g. Pressure Equipment Directive. You will execute and support the review of manufacturing methods for production of castings, forgings, fabrications and finishing processes across the full scope of products for the nuclear business as well as liaise with Supplier Quality Engineers and support with supplier qualification where appropriate.

Within this role you will be working on projects with UK Defence customers which will require any individual applying for the role to hold or be capable of getting SC Level clearance. We will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not have it. Due to the nature of the work an individual is required to be a UK National (as approved by the MOD). Dual passport holders are acceptable if the second country is approved by the vetting authority.
