Role: Lead Materials / Corrosion Engineer
Role Context:

As a Lead Material Engineer at Worley, you will ensure that relevant information is incorporated into onshore and subsea pipeline designs, reports, and specifications, including adherence to codes and standards. You will support on proposals, tenders, and bid clarifications, and promote new design approaches and technologies across project phases. You may engage directly with clients on your assigned projects or during peer-assist sessions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical expertise to the project team, ensuring material requirements for pipelines and structures are met.
  • Apply advanced theories in material sciences and engineering, especially in subsea pipelines, structures, and energy transition products (hydrogen, CO2, ammonia).
  • Lead or support proposals, both technically and commercially.
  • Stay updated with scientific advancements, recommending changes or new programs based on developments, including JIPs and conferences.
  • Maintain full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical scopes across multiple projects, incorporating lessons learned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in subsea design, offshore installation, fabrication, with knowledge of hydrogen and CO2 pipelines.
  • Understanding of material specifications for new products like hydrogen, slurries, or dense and gaseous CO2 phases.
  • Proficiency in codes, standards, and practices related to subsea design.
  • Knowledge of high-pressure, high-temperature flowlines, deep water, sour service pipelines, finite element modeling, and ECA processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
