Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking a Master Technician in Huddersfield to join a busy main dealership. You’ll lead the workshop, mentor technicians, and carry out complex diagnostics to manufacturer standards.

The role offers £47,000 basic, realistic earnings £50,000 OTE, 5-day week with Saturday rota, plus benefits like life insurance, medical plan and staff discounts. You’ll work with the latest diagnostic equipment and support the service department to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience as a Master Technician or Senior Vehicle Technician.
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience in franchised dealership or large independent workshop.
• Proactive approach with ability to mentor other technicians.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out advanced repairs and diagnostic work.
• Providing technical guidance and support to fellow technicians.
• Assisting the Workshop Controller and Service Department with technical queries.
• Ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
• Supporting workshop productivity and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and manufacturer procedures.
• Delivering outstanding customer satisfaction through first-time fix rates.
