About the job

The Lead Market Risk Business Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis and implementation of technology solutions for market risk management. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, develop and maintain market risk models, ensure data integrity, and provide strategic insights to enhance market risk processes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, compliance with regulations, and driving innovation are key aspects of this role.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the analysis of business requirements for market risk management solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements.
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of market risk models and systems.
  • Ensure the integration of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance market risk assessment.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of market risk data.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of market risk databases.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance and capabilities of the Market Risk IT function.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Manager), or PRM (Professional Risk Manager) are advantageous.
  • Certifications in IT management or project management (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are beneficial.
  • experience in market risk management, with a strong focus on business analysis and technology integration.
  • Proven track record in a senior business analyst role within the financial services industry, preferably in a risk management or IT capacity.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing market risk models and systems preferably using Murex
  • Proficiency in advanced analytics, machine learning, and data management technologies.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance related to market risk.
  • Significant experience in managing large-scale IT projects, including project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a high-performing team.
