Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Omagh
Salary up to £42,000 plus bonus

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join a global leader in manufacturing, at their Omagh site. Reporting to the Production Control Manager, you will play a key role in driving the development and improvement of manufacturing systems and leading a high-performing engineering team.

The Role

• Oversee and improve manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment within a fast-paced environment
• Manage and develop a small team of manufacturing systems engineers
• Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects from initiation to completion
• Implement Lean Manufacturing practices including 5S, Kanban, and Standard Work
• Own BOM creation and management, including Make/Buy decisions and outsourcing activities
• Provide day-to-day support to production departments and assist with new product and process development
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all manufacturing operations

The Person

• Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Manufacturing or related engineering discipline
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and process improvement techniques
• Excellent communication and project management skills
