Royal College of Art (RCA) in London seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead engineering teams across its iconic estate. You will oversee a hands-on team, drive planned maintenance and reactive work, and ensure safe, compliant operation of building services.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Maintenance Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Level 3 technical qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Proven experience delivering PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams and specialist contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of maintenance engineers and technicians.
• Lead delivery of planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Act as technical escalation point for engineers and contractors.
• Support fault-finding across building services systems and plant.
• Manage contractors, permits to work and safe systems of work.
• Monitor statutory compliance activities and maintain records.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are met.
• Maintain and update CAFM systems and maintenance records.
• Plan and coordinate repairs, minor works and projects.
• Coach and develop engineers to build technical capability.
