Job summary
Brazen Search is recruiting on behalf of a leading packaging manufacturer in Leeds for a Maintenance Supervisor / Engineering Team Leader. You will lead a team of multi-skilled engineers on shift, stay hands-on with automated packaging equipment and drive reliability, safety and continuous improvement across the site.
The role requires a proven track record in supervision within packaging/ FMCG, strong fault finding, PLC diagnosis, and an engineering qualification.
Qualifications
- Must have supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Background in Packaging or related manufacturing.
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
- Experience with PLC fault diagnosis.
- Knowledge of conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, gearboxes and automated machinery.
- Engineering qualification required.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of maintenance engineers on shift.
- Allocate workload and prioritise engineering activities.
- Support reactive and planned maintenance across automated packaging equipment.
- Provide technical support during major breakdowns.
- Drive continuous improvement and RCA activities.
- Ensure KPIs such as downtime, OEE and PPM are achieved.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality and Operations teams.
- Maintain high Health & Safety standards and compliance.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Develop maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
