Job Title: Lead Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £45,000
Location: Hampstead Heath
Rota: Days Monday to Friday

We are seeking a Lead Engineer with an electrically biased multi-skilled background for a prestigious company based in Hampstead. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-sufficient, skilled, confident, and ambitious, with a strong desire to succeed. You will join a team of professional facilities management personnel, including direct interaction with the client’s Managing Director.

This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of maintaining facilities infrastructure, delivering outstanding service to clients. Our client values diversity and is committed to creating an equitable work environment, which is essential to their success.

Duties include:

  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) according to schedules, ensuring standards are maintained to maximize operational effectiveness and reliability of plant and systems.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA).
  • Performing PPM, reactive maintenance, and project work.
  • Handling electrical work such as lighting, wiring, testing, alarm systems, BMS, communications rooms, UPS, backup generators, and lighting systems.
  • Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota for emergencies.
  • Managing maintenance workload to meet company KPIs.
  • Supervising specialist contractors and conducting site inductions as needed.
  • Liaising professionally with clients.
  • Responding promptly to electrical and mechanical reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
  • Conducting technical surveys and reporting findings.
  • Reviewing and implementing new techniques to improve service quality.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults related to PPM or reactive maintenance.
  • Performing minor installations and repairs on systems and services.

Requirements:

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
  • 18th Edition I.E.E registration or recognized equivalent.
  • City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing).
  • ACOP L8 training for water systems maintenance.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems.
  • Supervisory experience for career development.
  • Proactive approach to work.
  • Experience in electrical installation, testing, and inspection.
