Job Description

Impact Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Lead Maintenance Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Northampton on a permanent basis. This role will be based at their head site to lead and support the engineering processes and maintenance of the manufacturing site.


This role will offer the scope for progression including a step up to Engineering Manager in the future. In this role you will not be sat behind a desk, you will be expected to be a hands on worker within the factory.


Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience)


Hours: Monday to Friday 10am-6pm (some flexibility available)


Location: Northampton


Contract: Permanent


Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Engineering team management

  • Fault finding and diagnostics

  • Mechanical maintenance & servicing

  • Working with hydraulic equipment

  • Electrical maintenance & servicing

  • Experience with electro-mechanical systems

  • Coordinating engineering processes

  • Health & Safety of engineering processes

  • Coordinate and execute planned maintenance

  • Manage cost and achieve performance within budget

  • Minimise downtime and ensuring smooth running

  • Attend daily meetings onsite


Required Experience:



  • Proven experience within an industrial environment

  • Experience within process or production engineering

  • Electrical knowledge and experience

  • Engineering IT competencies including SAP

  • Health & Safety knowledge

  • People management skills and leadership

  • Project management

  • Strong problem solving abilities
