£55,918 (including shift allowance) plus overtime & benefits

42 hours per week, 4 on - 4 off, rotating days & nights

What’s the mission?

Your main responsibilities will include leading a team of two engineers on shift to ensure continuous production by minimizing downtime through safe and logical fault finding and maintenance. You will work on various equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will perform planned and reactive engineering activities on site. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, covering both days and nights, from 6am to 6pm.

What are the mission-critical skills?
  • Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation
  • Experience leading an engineering team is preferable but not essential
  • Good understanding of environmental, health, and safety issues and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance
  • Ability to analyze maintenance problems and provide accurate plant condition information and recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills with operatives, team leaders, maintenance, and production staff
  • PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
