Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Electrician based in the Newcastle area, responsible for electrical maintenance within a large-scale estate. The role is initially temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Salary is based on £43,000 per annum, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime available.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising and completing PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, lighting, emergency lighting, controls, BMS, and basic plumbing.
• Maintaining AHU/fan coil units.
• Leading checks and compliance duties, including water/tap temperature monitoring.
• Client liaison and overseeing sub-contractors to ensure H&S documentation and permits are correct.
• Supervising fabric staff.

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrical Engineer (SNVQ Level 3 or C&G 1 and 2).
• Ideally 18th edition certification.
• Experience in PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Excellent client-facing skills.
• Some supervisory or lead engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to log paperwork and documentation accurately.
