Job description

Lead M&E Engineer - £45,000 + Overtime - Bishops Stortford

Location: Bishops Stortford
Salary: £45,000 + Plenty of Overtime
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

We are seeking a skilled Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious contract in Bishops Stortford. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, overseeing electrical systems, and supporting general building services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  2. Respond to emergency callouts and troubleshoot faults
  3. Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance engineers and technicians
  4. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance
  5. Ensure all maintenance activities align with company standards and safety policies
  6. Carry out electrical work, including lighting, wiring, testing, alarms, and BMS controls
  7. Support general building services, including drainage, tiling, and plumbing tasks
  8. Work with AHU, FCU, UPS, generators, and LV systems, diagnosing and resolving issues
  9. Manage BMS head-end controls and HVAC systems
  10. Maintain VAV and VRV systems
  11. Ensure water treatment procedures are completed
  12. Conduct ballast replacements, lamping, and PAT testing
Requirements:
  1. City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent)
  2. Minimum of 3 years' experience in building services
  3. Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  4. Desire to learn, progress, and succeed in the role
