Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our defence aviation team at RNAS Yeovilton, near Yeovil, Somerset. You will lead maintenance activities, ensure airworthiness, and support the release to service of aircraft in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on-site, 40 hours per week on a 4-in-7 shift, including weekends, collaborating with a skilled team to uphold regulatory compliance and high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proof of holding a CAA Part 66 B1.2 licence and UK driving licence.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in a regulated aviation environment.
• Strong planning, analytical and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead aircraft maintenance activities and supervise technicians and inspectors.
• Certify and release aircraft to service after maintenance.
• Ensure all work adheres to aviation regulations and company procedures.
• Collaborate with customers and engineering stakeholders to deliver serviceable aircraft.
