Job summary

British Airways is seeking Licensed Aircraft Engineer – Longhaul to join its engineering team at Heathrow. You will lead maintenance activities, ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate resources under the supervision of a qualified team of mechanics and technicians.

The role offers training on multiple aircraft types (B777, B787, A350, A380) and opportunities across base and line operations, with visa sponsorship for qualified candidates and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted CAA UK Part-66 Licence or equivalent.
• At least one type rating in B1.1 (turbofan/turboprop) for B1.
• At least one type rating in B2 (fixed wing or rotary).
• Recent aircraft certification experience, within the last 2 years (min 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance activities with clear targets and expectations.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, policies, regulatory requirements.
• Oversee allocation of resources, equipment and assets for maintenance tasks.
• Provide guidance to maintain safety, quality and airmanship standards.
