About the job

Our client, a leading rail institution, is seeking a Lead Legal and Regulatory Advisor to join their team based in London.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert legal and regulatory advice on rail safety, interoperability, and other relevant frameworks.
2. Lead end-to-end projects where the Standards Management, Policy, and Strategy team serves as the technical lead.
3. Engage actively with industry stakeholders to ensure outputs meet their needs, are of high quality, and result in tangible benefits, gaining acceptance from cross-industry groups and committees.
4. Prepare and present legal and regulatory concepts to non-technical audiences in an engaging and informative manner to facilitate decision-making.
5. Support the delivery of the commercial work program.
6. Provide guidance, advice, and coaching to develop direct reports and lead the development of legal and regulatory competence across the Directorate.

Previous experience in compliance or legal roles within the rail industry is preferred.
