The University of Derby is inviting applications for the Head of Discipline for Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing. Based on site in the East Midlands with adaptive working options, you will lead teaching, research and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
We seek an experienced Mental Health Nurse with NMC registration, a strong HE teaching portfolio and a commitment to student success and equity.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject area.
- Current registration with the NMC as a Mental Health Nurse is essential.
- Experience delivering higher education teaching and assessing student work.
- Strong leadership in module and curriculum development.
- Active engagement in research and scholarship.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing.
- Contribute to module leadership, curriculum development and quality assurance.
- Engage practice partners and staff to support student learning and placements.
- Drive research activity and scholarship informing teaching.
