Job summary

Cambridge University Press & Assessment is seeking a Managing Editor for Journals, Academic. The role focuses on managing the peer review process for a portfolio of journals across STM/HSS fields, with responsibilities spanning initial submission through to post-peer review.

The successful candidate will maintain strong stakeholder relationships, drive process efficiencies, and training, while working in a hybrid model requiring 40-60% face-to-face collaboration at Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication required.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Experience in delivering training or workshops is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the peer review process for a set portfolio of journals across STM/HSS areas.
• Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships and drive efficiencies in manuscript processing.
• Serve as central point of contact for queries related to manuscript processing from pre- to post-peer review.
• Collaborate with the PRA Team to share best practices and drive improvements.
