Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a Lead Java Engineer - Full Stack Developer to join our RMS Trade Processing platform in London. You will contribute to a strategic, fintech-focused system handling complex OTC derivatives across the trade lifecycle, from booking to settlement, using Java, Spring Boot, and React.

You will drive architecture decisions, own end-to-end delivery, and mentor a dynamic team while ensuring quality, security, and regulatory compliance across backend and frontend

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise software development with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience building modern web apps with React/TypeScript.
• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong focus on test-driven development and quality engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and modern web technologies.
• Drive technical architecture decisions ensuring security, scalability, and regulatory alignment.
• Own end-to-end software development lifecycle from design to production support.
• Produce thorough technical documentation covering architecture and APIs.
• Support incident management and preventive measures.
