Job Opportunity: Lead Java Developer

Location: Telford (minimum 2 days a week)

Type: Contract (6 months)

Rate: Up to £539.12 per day (Umbrella inside IR35)

Role Purpose / Summary

We are seeking an experienced engineer proficient in Java, Spring, Platforms Integration, Kubernetes, and ideally React Front End development. The successful candidate will be adept at tackling technical challenges, devising solutions, and leading others in understanding and development. This role involves collaborative work with Architects, QA Leads, Engagement Managers, and later, a full engineering team.

The role includes creating the low-level design (LLD) for the ECS service, building upon existing architectural work. The LLD will encompass the entire service and contribute to the backlog creation for the build phase. Post-design, the role involves leading the technical development and delivery of ECS modernization, adopting shared components, and driving engineering principles and quality assurance within the team.
