Job summary

Norton College in Worcester is seeking a Computer Science Teacher to deliver IT across Entry Level 1, BTEC and GCSE qualifications, and to shape the college's IT curriculum. You will develop practical lessons and celebrate achievements, driving digital skills, confidence and independence in learners.

As the IT Teacher you will deliver an innovative, accessible curriculum, adapt your approach to meet diverse needs, and work with a collaborative team to change lives through technology.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS with IT specialism.
• Experience teaching BTEC and GCSE IT.
• At least 2 years’ SEMH experience with students.
• Able to adapt teaching for different styles and abilities.
• Excellent communication, motivation and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging IT lessons across Entry Level 1, BTEC and GCSE.
• Lead development and improvement of the IT curriculum.
• Create programmes of work and schemes of study.
• Monitor progress and maximise outcomes for learners.
• Coordinate assessments with Examinations Officer.
• Foster positive relationships supporting wellbeing.
• Adapt teaching approaches for SEMH needs and safeguarding.
