Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiographer to lead the IR team, supervise radiographers and students, and deputise for the Service Lead when required.

You will play a pivotal role in running a busy department, expanding services with new procedures and ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and governance within an NHS trust committed to innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience in interventional radiography.
• Ability to lead and train radiographers and students.
• Knowledge of governance and safety in imaging procedures.
• Ability to manage changing workloads and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Act as team leader and provide support for radiographers in the department.
• Lead in training radiographers and student radiographers; assume professional responsibility for their work.
• Ensure clinical governance protocols are followed and corrective actions taken where required.
• Monitor work priorities with other professionals to meet imaging service targets.
• Be a knowledge source for interventional radiology imaging matters for the MDT.
• Communicate complex information on procedures and radiation risks; obtain informed consent.
