Job DescriptionJob Description

We’re looking for a meticulous, hands-on Interior Design Project Lead to join our Interior Architecture and Design team. This is a true lead position that requires experience in the field and future people management.

In this role, you’ll balance sourcing, design and account/project management duties across 5–10 active projects at any given time, focusing on the construction portion of the design and working with our established builder partners to execute on your vision.

Location: Malvern, PA 19355
Full-time, 100% on-site role (70% in studio, 30% on vendor and client site)

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the design lead for high-end residential projects, guiding clients through finishes, layouts, and construction specifications and sourcing to their need.
  • Ensure a seamless, enjoyable experience aligned with project timelines and milestones.
  • Develop compelling design concepts, including hard surfaces, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing, and millwork.
  • Maintain design intent by reviewing architectural drawings and coordinating closely with the construction team, passing the rest off to the furnishing and soft finishings team.
  • Maintain meticulous design documents, ensuring seamless handoff to builder partners.
  • Build strong relationships with builder partners, trades, and vendors.
  • Source materials, obtain pricing, review specifications, and manage ordering to align with project needs.
  • Maintain project calendars, internal schedules, and milestones across multiple projects.
  • Lead meetings and presentations, ensuring design, timeline, and deliverables are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

Who You Are:

  • Ideal candidates have a strong portfolio and 5+ years of experience and background in interior design, construction design, or a related role.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and role model proficiency and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside contractors and clients.
  • Comfortable navigating dynamic situations and adapting quickly as priorities evolve.
  • Skilled with CAD/Revit and proficient in working with design files, including presenting ideas and suggestions clearly.
  • Adept with time management and time logging in a high pace environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40+ lbs as needed for site or sample visits.
  • Tech-savvy and confident using Google Workspace; knowledge of HouzzPro a plus, but not a must have.
