Job summary

IDEO London is seeking an Interaction Design Lead to guide multidisciplinary teams from research through delivery of human-centred experiences. You’ll craft journeys, interfaces and AI-enhanced interactions for digital and physical products, mentoring designers and collaborating with researchers and technologists.

You will lead design strategy, articulate narratives to stakeholders, and own delivery milestones while staying hands-on with craft and prototyping.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of professional experience in interaction design, digital product design, UX/UI or a related discipline
• 1–2+ years leading projects or multidisciplinary teams
• Strong grounding in human-centered design, research and usability testing

Responsibilities

• Lead and co-lead multidisciplinary project teams from research and framing through design, prototyping and delivery
• Set a clear design direction and stay hands-on with journeys, flows, interfaces and interaction details
• Build and guide prototypes at the right fidelity to answer the team’s questions using Figma and AI-assisted tools
• Partner with researchers and technologists to plan experiments, test usability and accessibility
• Explore conversational and agentic UX: design how people express intent and approve actions
• Own project plans, resources and delivery milestones; manage ambiguity while maintaining quality
• Be the main client point of contact, facilitate sessions and present design narratives
• Mentor designers and share learnings across the London community
