  • Provide leadership to the asset team and site execution contractors, ensuring compliance with statutory regulation, company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance, and change if required, to Performance Standards and prescribed assurance tasks, ultimately assuring the condition of structural and ‘static’ equipment to prevent failure and Loss of Containment (LOC).

  • Ensure the team carries out timely analysis of inspection results and, where required, specify appropriate prioritisation and timelines for remedial actions, working with relevant parties to complete repairs as planned.
  • Capture all asset engineering modifications (Greenfield/Brownfield/decommission), within the inspection programme (e.g., baseline inspections, removal of inspection routines, IDMS update) following the MOC process.
  • Work with peers to develop and monitor common, automated asset integrity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that measure asset health, risk, and compliance.
  • Ensure integration of asset integrity data within other company management systems (e.g., RiskPoynt barrier model, threats register) and ensure the broader business is aware of asset integrity status and condition.
  • Raise ‘deferrals’ as appropriate and ensure the company’s Safety and Environmentally Critical (SECE) backlog target of zero hours is achieved.
Budget and contract management:
  • Define, manage, and control the asset integrity budget, ensuring integrity programmes are included in annual and long-range plans with appropriate resources.
  • Manage budgets throughout the year and provide forecasts as required.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and advise on potential overspend risks.
  • Serve as the technical contract owner for inspection services and fabric maintenance, monitoring contractor performance and providing feedback.
Specific Requirements:
  • Educated to degree level.
  • Incorporated / Chartered Engineer status.
  • Strong operational knowledge of the upstream or high hazard industry.
