Job Description
A Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Proxy Service Delivery team will have the following responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities
- Client and stakeholder management, including client consultations, communication of expected completion dates, and ongoing expectation management.
- Contribute to process management and improvement within the team by updating and creating documentation and runbooks in line with engineering standards.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Proxy issues.
- Collaborate with other IT and business teams to align proxy solutions with organizational goals.
- Contribute to change management process improvement by building standardized change implementation templates.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in installation, migration, and decommissioning of Broadcom (formerly Bluecoat) devices, including Proxy SG, Secure Web Gateway (ISG), Symantec Content Analysis Systems (CAS), SSL Visibility appliances, and Symantec Management Center (SMC).
- Experience with other SaaS-based Secure Gateway vendors, e.g., Zscaler, Netskope, etc.
- Ability to build, test, and deploy proxy-based security solutions.
- Good understanding of network infrastructure, network security concepts, application layer protocols (HTTP/HTTPS), and vulnerability mitigation.
- Good understanding of REST API and container-based deployment models.
- Understanding of version and revision control practices and procedures.
- Proficient in the use of SIEM tools for investigative purposes.
- Scripting skills for automation of proxy environments, including familiarity with shell/Python scripts and Ansible playbooks.
- Expertise in networking fundamentals, including network topology, VLANs, routing, switching, load balancing, and firewalls.
