A water management organization seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer specializing in wastewater infrastructure. You will guide design efforts, ensure compliance, and mentor junior engineers. Within the @one Alliance, we are a collaborative organization comprising eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska, and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment program.
We are preparing for AMP8, our most ambitious Asset Management Period, focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes. We aim to set global benchmarks, improve the environment, and provide growth and development opportunities for our workforce.
Our portfolio includes innovative projects to ensure water supply across the region. We seek a Lead Infrastructure Engineer in our Water Recycling (Infrastructure) team, specializing in wastewater infrastructure (pipelines).
What will you do?
You will provide civil and pipeline engineering reviews, guidance, and inputs to potable water and water recycling infrastructure projects. You will support design efforts, ensuring compliance with standards and legislation. Reporting to both the Senior Design Manager and the Principal Infrastructure Engineer, you will review project deliverables, serve as a technical expert in pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.

Skills, Experience, and Behaviors:
Preferably, you hold a degree in water/wastewater engineering or a related field. You have proven expertise in designing potable and wastewater pipelines, quality assurance, and risk management, with familiarity with design software. Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and mentoring skills are essential. This role focuses on providing technical leadership across project portfolios rather than delivering individual projects.
