Overview

IRIS Software Group, a leading UK-based software company, is seeking a Lead IT Infrastructure Design Engineer to design, deliver, and future-proof infrastructure solutions. This role involves shaping the backbone of our technology, leading projects, and influencing our infrastructure roadmap.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and deployment of infrastructure solutions across various platforms including compute, identity, messaging, storage, and cloud.
2. Translate business challenges into secure, scalable infrastructure solutions.
3. Shape and influence the infrastructure roadmap and standards.
4. Act as a senior escalation point for complex issues.
5. Mentor team members and introduce new tools and approaches.
6. Create clear documentation for infrastructure processes and standards.

Requirements

• Experience in infrastructure roles with increasing responsibility.
• Proven track record in leading large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure (IaaS & PaaS), Entra ID, Hyper-V, Veeam, PowerShell, and Microsoft Exchange.
• Strong understanding of networking and security principles.
• Ability to shape technical standards and drive improvements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
