Fruition IT has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join an organization on a 5-year AWS cloud transformation journey.

Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to join a cloud transformation journey to AWS. You'll work on a mixture of project-based work & 3rd line support. The environment includes 3000 Windows servers with a small footprint in Linux.

Lead Infrastructure Engineer - What will I be doing?

• Plan, design, and implement IT infrastructure solutions related to compute, virtualization, containerization (both on-premise & AWS Cloud), load balancers, primary storage, and backup that meet business needs.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of IT infrastructure with other systems and services.
• Provide out-of-hours support via the On-Call rota and be prepared for occasional planned out-of-hours work.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members.

Assist in managing security by:

• Installing operating system patches and updates.
• Reviewing logs to investigate unauthorized activity.
• Administering Active Directory and Group Policy.

Infrastructure Engineer - What do I need?

• Experience with Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP) and Linux (RedHat & Oracle).
• Skills in Microsoft SCOM, SCCM, DPM, WSUS, Intune, Defender, Patch My PC, and Windows Hyper-V supporting over 1000 servers.
• Experience supporting both on-premise and AWS platforms.
• Automation skills with tools like Ansible, Python, and PowerShell are a plus.
• Experience as a technical lead, coaching, and mentoring.
• Experience in designing and building solutions.

Added bonus:

• Qualifications such as Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or other relevant Microsoft credentials.
• AWS certifications like Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are desirable.
