Job summary

FCC Environment is seeking an Inert and Closed Site Supervisor to oversee safe, compliant operation of inert and closed landfill sites. You will manage contractors, perform regular inspections and support restoration projects while maintaining strong relations with customers, regulators and communities.

The role requires flexibility and willingness to travel between sites, with a single-cab vehicle provided. Full-time, with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in the waste industry is desirable.
• Understanding of environmental issues such as landfill gas and leachate.
• Experience supervising contractors and managing site activities.
• Basic Health and Safety knowledge and compliance.
• Good IT skills including email and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring sites are operated safely and in compliance with permits and regulations.
• Supervising inert and closed landfill sites and supporting restoration projects.
• Managing contractor activities in FCC procedures.
• Conducting site inspections on a daily, weekly and monthly cycle.
• Liaising with customers, regulators and stakeholders to meet operational needs.
• Travel within working day; cover at other sites during leaves; support site visits.
