Job summary

Northampton International Academy is part of EMAT and is seeking staff to support pupils with EBSA, ASD or related needs. The role involves delivering direct support to individuals and small groups within classrooms and therapeutic sessions.

You will work with teachers, ARP staff, parents and external practitioners to remove barriers to education, promote physical and emotional well-being, and help pupils integrate into the learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals and small groups of pupils with EBSA, Anxiety, and/or a diagnosis of ASD or on the pathway to diagnosis.
• Support teaching staff and external clinical staff by working with designated pupils in the classroom and through therapeutic sessions.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers and external practitioners alongside ARP staff.
• Work towards eradicating barriers to accessing education and supporting pupils’ physical, social, emotional well-being and integration into the ARP.
• Deliver one-to-one/small group therapeutic interventions and support the learning of pupils as directed by the Lead Teacher or ARP Leader.

General Roles and Responsibilities:

• To support teaching staff and external clinical staff by working with designated pupils both in the classroom and through therapeutic sessions.
• To work in partnership with parents, carers and external practitioners alongside ARP staff.
• To work towards eradicating barriers to accessing education and supporting young people’s physical, social, emotional well-being alongside integration into the ARP.
• To deliver one to one/small group therapeutic interventions and support the learning of pupils as directed by the Lead Teacher or ARP Leader.
