Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead detailed design workstreams for Protection & Control systems in Glasgow, Scotland. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and be a Chartered Engineer. They should have extensive experience in high-voltage installations and strong communication skills. The role emphasizes mentorship of junior engineers and maintaining client relationships, with a focus on innovative engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in P&C FEED and detailed design for high-voltage installations.
• Knowledge of National Grid and SSE design processes and standards.
• Familiarity with protection and control systems for DNOs, BESS, wind farms, and HVDC.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEED and detailed design workstreams for Protection & Control systems.
• Develop and review interface designs and protection schemes.
• Ensure timely delivery of design packages and technical bids.
