Job summary

Connect2Halton is recruiting on behalf of Halton Borough Council for an experienced Lead HR Business Partner. The role provides day-to-day leadership to the HRBP team during a period of change, ensuring high-quality, pragmatic HR support across the Council.

You will operate as a senior HRBP, shaping people strategies, improving service delivery and guiding complex employee relations, workforce planning and organisational change initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading an HR Business Partnering team.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment legislation.
• Proven ability to advise and influence senior managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the HRBP team with objective setting and performance management.
• Provide direction during a period of change and organisational challenge.
• Shape and deliver people strategies and service improvements with the HR Leadership Team.
• Act as a strategic and operational HRBP to a designated Council area and build senior stakeholder relationships.
• Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations and organisational change.
