Job summary

York Archaeology is seeking a Senior Historic Buildings Archaeologist to lead complex building survey and heritage consultancy projects from our Nottingham base. The role requires mentoring junior colleagues, providing expert planning advice, and driving growth of our built heritage portfolio across Nottingham, Sheffield and York.

Regular travel to other offices and sites in the UK is expected. Probation of 3 months applies.

Qualifications

• A degree in Historic Buildings-related archaeology or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in historic building survey and reporting.
• Experience planning and delivering commercial archaeology projects.
• Experience preparing quotations and tenders for survey projects.
• UK driving licence and ability to travel.
