NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering and earthworks contractor, who are looking to appoint an experienced Lead Heavy Plant Engineer to support their operations across the South West.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys responsibility, variety and working on a wide range of machinery while supporting a busy fleet that is critical to major infrastructure and earthworks projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a fleet of heavy plant equipment including ADT's, dumpers, excavators and other large earthmoving machinery. You will play a key role within the engineering function, ensuring machines are maintained to a high standard, faults are diagnosed efficiently and downtime across the fleet is kept to an absolute minimum.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills, previous experience working on heavy plant equipment and be confident working independently while supporting the wider engineering team. Experience working on equipment such as Volvo, CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi or similar OEM machinery would be highly beneficial.
