Job summary

NEOS Engineering Recruitment is recruiting for a Heavy Plant Engineer in Enfield. You will join a leading supplier in the sector and work on a mixed fleet including heavy plant machinery, concrete pumps and HGVs.

The role offers £45,000–£50,000 base salary with plenty of overtime, a pension scheme and ongoing manufacturer and technical training. This is a permanent position with long-term career progression in a reputable company.

Qualifications

• Experience as Heavy Plant Engineer or similar.
• Strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence is required or desirable.
• NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose faults on concrete pumps and HGVs.
• Carry out mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical fault finding.
• Complete planned maintenance and reactive repairs.

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading suppliers of ready‑mixed concrete, who are looking for an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer to join their engineering team in Enfield.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established business, working on a diverse fleet of heavy plant machinery, concrete pumps and HGVs. If you enjoy variety and are looking for a long‑term career with plenty of overtime and progression, this could be the perfect role.

The Role

As a Heavy Plant Engineer, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of heavy plant, concrete pumps and HGVs, ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable and available for operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery.
• Diagnose and repair faults on concrete pumps and HGVs.
• Carry out mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical fault finding.
• Complete planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Accurately complete service documentation and job reports.

The Candidate

We're looking for someone with:

• Previous experience as a Heavy Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Engineer, HGV Technician, Workshop Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
• Experience working on heavy plant, concrete pumps, HGVs or similar construction equipment.
• Strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
• A relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent) is desirable.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
