Job summary

Focus Resourcing Limited is seeking an experienced Workshop & Maintenance Manager to oversee workshop operations and the maintenance of a diverse fleet of heavy mobile plant. The role requires a strong mechanical background and a solid track record in preventative and corrective maintenance.

You will lead technicians, plan workloads, manage parts, monitor costs and ensure safety and regulatory compliance to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical qualification required.
• Experience maintaining/heavy plant equipment.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills (hydraulic/electrical/engine).
• Experience in supervision/leading a workshop team.
• Full UK driving licence and good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee preventative maintenance, servicing and inspections.
• Manage corrective maintenance, breakdowns, fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Provide technical support and leadership to workshop technicians.
• Coordinate workloads, maintenance schedules and parts requirements.
• Monitor maintenance costs and identify efficiency improvements.
• Ensure safe working practices and regulatory compliance.
