Job summary

Skycare is seeking a Head Housekeeper for a care home in Darenth, Dartford (DA2). The role is full-time at 40 hours per week, paying £13.00 per hour. You will lead the housekeeping team to ensure spotless resident areas, maintain high standards, and manage rotas, audits, and stock control.

You will drive training, uphold infection control and safety regulations, and foster a welcoming, clean environment for residents, visitors, and staff within the care home setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a housekeeping role within a care home, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality environment for at least one year.
• supervisory or team leadership experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• Good communication and people management skills
• Right to work in the UK, no need for sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding standards of cleanliness
• Ensuring residents' bedrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards
• Managing housekeeping rotas and daily task allocation
• Conducting quality checks and audits
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning supplies
• Supporting staff training and development
• Ensuring compliance with infection control, COSHH, and health & safety regulations
